Hard Stamping

Plouse’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility houses various metal stamping presses. Metal stamping is a fabricating process that competes with roll forming. The stamping process forms a metal blank with powerful dies into a predetermined shape or pattern. The process utilizes mechanically or hydraulically powered presses that are fed by continuous strips of metal or individual blanks which are then shaped by a powerful stamping action.

Plouse specializes in both high and low volume metal stamping production using a variety of materials that range from .005″ to .250″ thick. Hard tool configurations can take the form of inexpensive punching or forming dies to large, complex fully progressive tools. Such configurations are often necessary to drive down piece part costs and meet tight tolerance requirements. All dies are designed, built and maintained in house by our master toolmakers.
